Jinko-in Temple is currently belongs to the Shingon sect of Buddhism.
It is especially beautiful in the fall.
It was founded in 1217 by Kamo Yoshihisa, a Shinto priest at the Kamigamo JInja Shrine. He said that he had received a devine revelation which said “Build a temple hall at the place shed by devine light.” Jinko-in means “Temple of Devine Light.”
