Akari specializes in making ornamental lanterns and other light fittings using traditional Japanese lightweight paper. Not only this, but you too can get in on the fun and try your hand at making your own traditional Japanese lantern.

Akari offers expert instruction in how to make these lights yourself. The one downside is that unfortunately, at present, the instruction is provided only in Japanese, but if you can take a Japanese friend along with you, this promises to be a great day out.
